Steve Williams BSc PhD
Director of Operations

Steve holds a 1st class degree in Medicinal Chemistry and a PhD in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Physics) from the University of Cambridge. During his degree he spent a formative year in the pharmaceutical industry working at Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Harlow in the Physical and Analytical Services Unit. The specialist skills in MRI he acquired at Beecham let him to go on to establish one of the UK's foremost pre-clinical imaging facilities at the University of London and subsequently, one of the world's first Neuroimaging research groups. Over the past 10 years, he has co-authored over 200 publications on biomedical imaging and has held research grants worth over GBP15 million. This includes the creation of a recently completed Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences in Denmark Hill which houses 3 state-of-the-art FMRI scanners. Since 1998, Steve has been a consultant for Neurosense, orchestrating their commercial operations across a wide range of scanning centres. In 2006, Steve was elected onto the Board of Directors for Neurosense and plays a key role in the commercial application of functional neuroimaging for the company.
